Kangana Ranaut is all set for her interesting upcoming film release based on the biographical drama inspired by the real life of India’s first female Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. The movie is titled ‘Emergency’.
Sharing excitement to watch Kangana starrer movie, in a recent interview with a leading entertainment portal the filmmaker Karan Johar was questioned on which political event he wishes to watch in a film. To which he said, “Emergency is being made and I am excited to watch it.”
Now Kangana Reacts On His Statement
On X (formerly Twitter) a user commented on Karan’s recent statement, “Really? Change of heart.” Responding to the tweet, the actress wrote, “Ha ha last time, when he said he was excited to see Manikarnika, the worst smear campaign of my life was unleashed upon me on its releasing weekend…”
And further added, “Almost all main actors working in the film were paid to sling mud on me and sabotage the film and suddenly the most successful weekend of my life was turned into a living nightmare for me… Ha ha I am scared now, very scared… because he is excited again…”

‘Emergency’ is helmed by none other than Kangana Ranaut herself and co-written with Ritesh Shah. Also produced the film under her own banner Manikarnika Films, hitting screens on 24 November 2023.
