Based on the life of Vijay Barse,  Jhund stars Amitabh Bachchan in the title and film is made by the director of Marathi smash hit fiilm Sairat – Nagraj Manjule. While Gangubai Kathiawadi revived the box office last week, Jhund opened on a low note and the clash with the Hollywood biggie - The Batman, deteriorated its performance Rs 1.50 crore on its first day. There was a good growth on Saturday with Rs 2.1 crore.

As per early trade estimates, Jhund showed another growth on Sunday by 35-40% and collected somewhere between Rs 2.8-3 crore, bringing the three days total to Rs 6.5 crore which is not upto the mark, considering the budget of Jhund is Rs 30 (Production Budget: 22 Crores, Prints & Advertising Costs: 8 Crores).
