Based on the life of Vijay Barse,  Jhund will be an interesting watch since it is being made by the director of Marathi smash hit fiilm Sairat – Nagraj Manjule. For our audence, Nagraj Manjule had also made an excellent story in the recently released Amazon's Unpaused 2. While Gangubai Kathiawadi revived the box office last week, Jhund opened on a low note in the morning shows across India, except for Maharasthra where the film is based. The Amitabh Bachchan starrer earned good reviews which helped it slightly in the evening and night shows but clash with the Hollywood biggie - The Batman, gave some competition.

As per early trade estimates, Jhund collected somewhere between Rs 1-1.50 crore on its first day. The budget of Jhund is Rs 30 (Production Budget: 22 Crores, Prints & Advertising Costs: 8 Crores).

On the other hand, the much anticipated The Batman opened to an excellent response on its first day in the Indian domestic market. Thanks to the solid second trailer which focuses on the crime drama, action stunts, the Cat Woman and The Riddler, solid action stunts, more emotions and more characters which invoked the curiosity to watch the film.
