The first major release of Tom Holland apart from MCU’s Spiderman, Uncharted, showed some good legs at the box office.
Based on the Sony’s hit treasure hunt video game, Uncharted starring Tom Holland and Mark Walhberg opened on a decent note on its first day with Rs 1.53 crore in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. The first major Hollywood release after Spiderman : No Way Home. There was a slight growth on Saturday with around 14%, minting Rs 1.74 crore.
As per early trade report, Uncharted escalated further on the Sunday with Rs 1.90-2 crore, bringing the 3 days total to somewhere between Rs 5.70-5.90 crore at India domestic box office. While the numbers are fair in Indian domestic market, the adventure drama has opened extremely well in US over President’s Day weekend, making Tom Holland score his second number 1 debut after Spiderman : No Way Home with a solid $51 million in first weekend. Talking about Spiderman, the latest flick had already passed 2009’s Avatar lifetime collection ($749 million) last Monday to become the third highest grossing film of all time at the US box office. This weekend, it has collected $7.7 million, bringing the overall collections to $771.7 million and worldwide total to $1.83 billion.
Uncharted is directed by Ruben Fleischer and produced by Sony Pictures Networks, Atlas Entertainment, Columbia Pictures, PlayStation Productions, and Arad Productions.
