What a comeback! Superstar Rajinikanth's 2021 film ‘Annaatthe’ had received unfavourable reviews from critics and audience, and now Thalaivar has made a terrific comeback with Nelson Dilipkumar's directorial movie ‘Jailer’.
Jailer is earning a massive box-office collection with a successful three-week run in theatres. Correctly it is on the mark of touching Rs 600 crore globally, while inching towards Rs 350 crore net in India.
Thalaivar Gets a Profit-sharing Cheque
Celebrating the tremendous success of the movie, on 31 August 2023, Jailer bankrolled by Sun Pictures, CEO Kalanithi Maran visited Rajinikanth’s Poes Garden Home in Chennai to hand him over a beautiful bouquet with an undisclosed amount of cheque as he shared profits with the actor, while the actor had signed Sun Pictures on a profit-sharing basis.
Sharing this lovely moment's photograph with fans, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Sun Pictures wrote, “Mr. Kalanithi Maran met Superstar @rajinikanth and handed over a cheque, celebrating the historic success of #Jailer.”

Receives A BMW X7 Car Worth Rs 1.26 As A Gift!
To gift a luxurious four-wheeler, Kalanithi then took Thalaivar to show various models of cars and he chose the BMW X7 by becoming a proud owner of a car whopping Worth Rs 1.26 crores.
