The rapper and producer who is currently serving his time in the military as a social worker, was reportedly coming back home from work when he fell on the road while riding the scooter. Upon Yongsan Police Station, it was found that the BTS member was drunk and a fine was imposed on him. Updates from the police revealed that the Breathalyzer test results exceeded the alcohol percentage of 0.08%. Electric kickboards, also known as electric scooters in South Korea, are subject to severe safety laws similar to those for automobiles, and their use requires a valid license.

Suga posted an apology on Weverse which read, “Hello, I'm Suga. I feel very heavy and sorry to come to you with disappointment. After drinking at the dinner table last night, I got home on an electric kickboard. I violated the road traffic laws without realizing that I could not use an electric kickboard when I was drunk due to the comfortable idea of being close to home. In the process of setting up an electric kickboard at the front door of the house, I fell alone, and there was a police officer around me, so I took a breath test. My license was revoked and a fine was imposed. There were no people or facilities damaged in this process, but I would like to bow down and apologize to everyone because it is inexcusable. I apologize to everyone who has been hurt by my careless and wrong behavior, and I will be more careful with my actions so that this does not happen in the future.”

BigHit also posted an official statement which said, “We apologise for disappointing many people due to the inappropriate behaviour of the artist. We will receive appropriate disposition from the workplace for the behaviour that caused a social scandal. We will be more careful not to let this happen in the future.”
