In the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Test Series between India & Australia India's spin legend Ravichandran Ashwin announces retirement from international cricket. A shocking decision comes ahead of the third match which was drawn due to rain.

One of India's bowling legend Ravi Ashwin bid adieu to his 14-year career finishing as India's second highest test wicket taker, with 537 scalps in 106 Tests. Ashwin also featured in 116 ODIs and 65 T20Is for India, taking 156 and 72 wickets respectively. His count of 37 five-wicket hauls in Test cricket is joint-second best alongside Shane Warne, and only behind M Muralitharan's tally of 67.

Ashwin became India's reliable batting option as well scoring 3503 runs in Test cricket, including six centuries and 14 fifties. He holds the Indian record for most instances (4) of a century and a fifer in the same Test, only behind Ian Botham (5).

That left Indian team in bit of a shock as two more test matches are left in the series and one of their key player won't be there for the support.
