The currently highly-acclaimed Bollywood film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’ is winning hearts, in which we not only saw Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt's amazing chemistry but also caught our attention with veteran superstars Dharmendra Deol and Shabana Azmi’s mesmerizing chemistry. 

In the film, Shabana Azmi plays Dharmendra’s long-lost lover who reunites with him several years later and shares a lip-lock when they meet. That made the viewers in the theatres cheer, giggle and also elated to experience the classic superstars together in this modern world film industry.

Here's how Javed Akhtar Reacted

Reacting to the kissing scene, here’s how the well-known lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar reacted Shabana Azmi told Zoom, she said, “Oh he was not bothered. But what bothered him was my rowdy behaviour. Throughout the film, I was applauding, whistling, cheering and shouting. He was like, ‘I don’t know this woman sitting next to me.’ I went insane with excitement.”

Talking about her thoughts on the kiss scene, she shared, “I never thought it would create such a fuss! People are laughing and cheering when we kiss. While shooting it was never an issue. It is true that I haven’t kissed much on screen before. But who wouldn’t want to kiss a man as handsome as Dharmendra?”

And here's how Hema Malini Reacted

And here’s how the Dream Girl of Bollywood and wife of our heartthrob Dharmendra said she didn’t see the film but she is happy for Dharam Ji. 

Hema Malini recently attended the launch event of a book in New Delhi and as per Times Now, when Hema was asked about the ‘kiss’, she laughed and said, “I have not seen it’’ and added, “I am sure people have loved the film. I am so happy for Dharam ji, because he loves to be in front of the camera all the time. He loves it.”

And Dharmendra Deol talking on the same at the success event of the movie, said, “Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend the premiere, but I’ve received a lot of messages from people. Maine bola, ‘Yaar, yeh toh mere daaye haath ka kaam hai (I can do this in my sleep).” He added, “Baaye haath se karwana hai, who bhi karwa lo (I can do it effortlessly).”

Also, the director of ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’, Karan Johar told Film Companion how he didn’t have to really convince the superstars for the shot. “Shabana ji is a trooper. She is a master actor, she is a ‘baap’ actor as they say. There was no debate, no question (about the kiss scene). Dharam ji was like, ‘haan theek hai karna hai, fine’. (It was) two great veterans, performing with absolute aplomb, no questions asked. It was glorious to see them,” he shared. 

‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’ is running successfully in theatres since 28 July 2023 that attracted many people to have most of it with all Bollywood feels of entertainment.
