Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi has been unstoppable at the box office thanks to the solid response from the audience and amazing user reviews as per Book My Show which led the biopic drama collect an outstanding Rs 68.93 crore in first week. There was a big competition from Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund and Hollywood biggie The Batman, but Gangubai Kathiawadi held well to its ground on the second weekend with Friday being around Rs 5.01 crore and superb earnings on Saturday with Rs 8.2 crore followed by Super Sunday with Rs 10.08 crore. It held well on its second Monday with 3.41 crore which was definitely promising. Thanks to the Women's Day celebration on Tuesday, the biopic drama collected Rs 4.01 crore.

Rudra Review – Ajay Devgn Starrer Edgy, Engrossing, Well-Directed With Superb Performances

As per early trade report, the collection held well on 2nd Wednesday to somewhere between Rs 3-3.10 crore, bringing the 13 days total to around Rs 103 crore. The budget of the biopic drama is estimated to be around Rs 180 crore.

Gangubai Katthiawasi is based on the real-life events about the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favor. After working together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are coming together for the second film, Gangubai Kathiawadi.
