Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi finally made it to the theaters and took a good opening in Mumbai with 20-25% while in other places and decent in other places. The collections escalated towards the evening and night shows as the user reviews have been good as per Book My Show and collected a solid Rs 10.50 crore making it the second best opening for a women centric film.

As per early trade report, the collection flew high up with somewhere between Rs 13.85-14 crore from 3500 screens, bringing the two total to Rs 24.35-24.50 crore. The budget of the biopic drama is estimated to be around Rs 55 crore. It has also become the highest opening film of Alia Bhatt beating Raazi which collected Rs 7.53 crore. Gangubai Katthiawasi is based on the real-life events about the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny and swing it in her favor. After working together in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are coming together for the second film, Gangubai Kathiawadi. This will also mark the reunion of Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Leela Bhansali after 22 years.

Valimai 1st Day Box Office – Ajith Starrer Becomes The Highest Opening Film In Tamil Nadu

Thanks to the adrenalin pumping trailer and the star power of Ajith, Valimai took a solid opening of Rs 26 crore on its first day in Tamil Nadu easily beating the previous record held by Rajnikanth starrer Annaatthe which collected Rs 24 crore on a holiday. The action drama went on to collect Rs 31 crore in all languages. Though it dropped on the second day with Rs 11.60 crore, the collections went up again on third day with Rs 16.20-16.30 crore, bringing the three days total to around 60 crore.

Pawan Kalyan is back with yet another masala potboiler in form of Bheemla Nayak which again shattered all the box office records with an opening of Rs 36 crore from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. There was a drop on the second day but still the collections were above 20 crore figure to Rs 23.10-23.20 crore, bringing the 2 days total to a staggering 60.15-60.50 crore
