The Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Badhaai Do and Hollywood flick Uncharted were good on Tuesday at the box office.
The Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Badhaai Do opened on a low note on its first day. However, there was a solid growth on Saturday and Sunday followed by low numbers on the weekdays. bringing the first week collections to Rs 12.67 crore which was fine considering the bold subject and few restrictions at places. Due to the absence of any major releases, the comedy drama held well on the second Friday with Rs 74 lakhs while it grew over on second Saturday with Rs 1.54 crore and on second Sunday with Rs 2 crore. As per early trade report, Badhaai Do dropped on the 2nd Monday with Rs 80 lakhs.
As per early trade estimates, the comedy drama held well on Tuesday with Rs 80-85 lakhs, bringing the 12 days total to somewhere between Rs 18.50-18.70 crore. While this is a low collections but Badhaai Do still has few days left before Gangubai Kathiawadi makes a splash at the box office. The budget of comedy drama is Rs 45 Crores all-inclusive this is higher (Production cost: 35 Crores including interest cost, Advertising Cost: 10 Crores) and has released in 2000 cinemas across all India
Based on the Sony's hit treasure hunt video game, Uncharted starring Tom Holland and Mark Walhberg opened on a decent note on its first day with Rs 1.53 crore in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. The first major Hollywood release after Spiderman : No Way Home. There was a slight growth on Saturday with around 14%, minting Rs 1.74 crore followed by Rs 1.90 crore on Sunday. There was a good hold on Monday with Rs 97 lakhs.
As per early trade report, Uncharted held well with Rs 90-91 lakhs on Tuesday, bringing the 5 days total to somewhere between Rs 7-7.10 crore at India domestic box office.
