A Thursday Review – Gripping Hostage Drama With An Important Message
The Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Badhaai Do opened on a low note on its first day with just Rs 1.65 crore at the box office. However, there was a solid growth on Saturday with around 65%, minting a good Rs 2.72 crore followed by another good Sunday with Rs 3.45 crore. Due to the Valentine's Day celebration, Badhaai Do held well on Monday with a good Rs 1.85 crore. Though the drops were lower on the other days but still the collections were stable on Tuesday with Rs 1.12 crore and on Wednesday with Rs 1 crore.

As per early trade report, Badhaai Do showed further drop to Rs 80 lakhs, bringing the first week collections to somewhere between Rs 12.50-12.60 crore. While this is a low collections but Badhaai Do still has one week before Gangubai Kathiawadi makes a splash at the box office. The budget of comedy drama is Rs 45 Crores all-inclusive this is higher (Production cost: 35 Crores including interest cost, Advertising Cost: 10 Crores) and has released in 2000 cinemas across all India

The movie directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, who earlier made Hunterr and stars Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chadha, Chum Darang, Lovleen Mishra, Nitish Pandey and Shashi Bhushan amongst others essaying pivotal roles & taking the narrative ahead.
