With the first look, motion poster and the fun-loving trailer featuring the lead pair Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, Badhaai Do managed to open on low note in the morning with occupancy of just 5% across India. The comedy drama could collect Rs 1.65 crore on its first day at the box office. However, there was a solid growth on Saturday with around 65%, minting a good Rs 2.72 crore followed by another good Sunday with Rs 3.45 crore.

As per early trade report, Badhaai Do held well dropping by Rs 43%, collecting around Rs 1.99 crore thanks to Valentine's Day event, bringing the first four days collection to Rs 9.80-9.90 crore. Badhaai Do is still facing the challenge of night shows not being in all states except Maharashtra , Rajasthan and South which affected the collections. The budget of comedy drama  is Rs 45 Crores all-inclusive  this is higher (Production cost: 35 Crores including interest cost, Advertising Cost: 10 Crores) and has released in 2000 cinemas across all India
