The Diljit Dosanjh, Shehnaaz Gill and Sonam Bajwa starrer Honsla Rakh has turned out to better than expected in terms of box office collections in its first weekend as it is breaking records across the globe.

At the domestic box office, Honsla Rakh already broke the opening day record when it collected Rs 2.52 crore beating Shadaa which collected Rs 2.43 crore and Carry On Jatta 2 which collected Rs 2.37 crore. The comedy drama continued its bull run to collect a solid Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday followed by Rs 2.85 crore on Sunday, bringing the first weekend total to Rs 7.62 crore. As per early estimates, Honsla Rakh dropped to somewhere between Rs 1-1.2 crore, bringing the first 4 days collections to Rs 8.62 crore crossing its budget of Rs 8 crore as per trade report.

Honsla Rakh is creating waves across globe as it has broken the opening weekend numbers of Shadaa and Carry On Jatta 2. As per Box Office India, the comedy drama has collected a jaw-dropping opening weekend number of Rs 9 crore gross in the overseas, bringing the worldwide total to Rs 17.50 crore which was enough to beat the previous record holders - Shadaa which collected Rs 16 crore and Carry On Jatta 2 which collected 15.25 crore respectively.
