There were two significant Bollywood films which were released today in the past years – Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Rishi Kapoor starrer Love Aaj Kal and Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Shriya Saran starrer Drishyam. Let us check how the films fared at the box office.
B.A. Pass (2012)
BA Pass was a surprise element which will blow away your mind with its raw portrayal of hard life. After losing his parents in a tragic accident, Mukesh moves into his Aunt’s house where he rendezvous with a sexy-middle-aged siren who uses him to quench her thirst for satisfaction and business which he would have never imagined.
Ajay Bahl as first time director does a commendable job in laying out a hard-hitting story which is based on a novel ” The Railway Aunty”. The film is bold and raw with few scenes raising your eyebrow. It is the screenplay which makes it more effective watch. Editing could have been little better. Art direction and cinematography capturing the essence of Delhi. Shadab Kamal and Shilpa Shukla are the soul of the movie. Shilpa Shukla gives a knockout performance after Chak De India. She is an actor to watch out for. Shadab Kamal makes a promising debut though he played a small part in the movie Chittagong.
B.A. Pass turned out to be a surprise hit at the box office, collecting Rs 8.20 crore against the budget of Rs 6.50 crore.
Jism 2 (2013)
While Jism starring John Abraham and Bipasha Basu was a runaway success, Jism 2 introduced Sunny Leone to the world of Bollywood. With intriguing trailer and soulful songs, Jism 2 opened to a fabulous response at the box office with Rs 5 crore and collect a fabulous Rs 30.23 crore against a budget of Rs 11 crore, becoming “Super-Hit”.
