Clashing with G.I.Joe's spin-off character, Snake Eyes, Old was never expected to defeat the action flick which was made at higher budget and was carrying more buzz than Shyamalan's latest thriller. However, thanks to the brand name created by Manoj Night Shyamalan in giving sensational low-budget box office hits along with the interesting trailer helped Old open to $16.5 million from 3355 theaters across US. Though the opening is the lowest for Shyamalan after Lady In The Water ($18 million), still the numbers were impressive considering people are slowly coming out to watch the films in the limited capacity and the budget being just $18 million.

On the other hand, G.I.Joe's spin-off character, Snake Eyes, scored a disappointing $13.4 million despite carrying a budget of $80 million and more more buzz. Black Widow became the first film to cross $150 million domestically, collecting $11.6 million in its third weekend while last week's champ Space Jam dived to around 70% with $9.6 million , crossing 51.3 million domestically.
