North Korea has been sending 15 tons of trash it using 3,500 balloons to South Korea to let them know the how unpleasant it is to clean the trash, the North Korea’s vice-minister of defence Kim Kang Il said in a statement carried by state media outlet.
According to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff Pyongyang sent 600 balloons filled with items such as cigarette butts, fabric, paper waste, and plastic, were discovered scattered across the capital. North said that the balloons were a responsive act to South Korea’s years-long practice of sending balloons. Pyongyang claimed that the ballons sent by Seoul used to carry anti-North Korean leaflets.
Meanwhile, South Korea has announced that the country would have to take “unendurable measures” against North Korea for sending more trash balloons this weekend, which could include blaring propaganda from loudspeakers directed at the North.
North Korea has finally decided to put a halt on sending these balloons filled with trash to South Korea.
