X Faces Temporary Disruption: Users Report Issues Loading New Posts

On Tuesday night, the social media platform X had some technical issues, leading to outages. According to Downdetector.com, which monitors such problems by gathering user reports, there were more than 36,500 outage reports in the US at the peak.Downdetector also recorded over 3,300 outage reports in Canada and 1,600 in the UK. The reason for the outage is still unclear.

Many users in India had trouble loading new posts or refreshing their feeds, with most problems appearing to come from the app itself. This issue follows an outage that interrupted a Spaces conversation between X owner Elon Musk and former US president Donald Trump, which Musk described as a major cyber-attack.

Since Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion—a deal he initially tried to cancel—X has experienced frequent tech outages and glitches. Musk has previously criticized Twitter’s code, calling it brittle. The outage was relatively short, lasting less than an hour in total.
