ADOR officially denies the Former CEO Min Hee Jin’s request to be reinstated as the company's CEO, going against the plea made by the K-Pop girl group NewJeans’. The decision came after ADOR board members hosted a general meeting with the stakeholders. “The ADOR board of directors discussed and decided that the request for her to return as CEO is currently not acceptable”, said an official statement.

Min Hee Jin was dismissed as the CEO of the company however, on 21 September, the company offered the role of Internal Director and allowed her to oversee the production of NewJeans for the next five years, which is the same amount of time the group has signed for with the company. ADOR released a statement, “Given that the basic guarantees regarding her position, duration, and authority as the producer in charge of NewJeans have been established, we expect further discussion and negotiations on specific conditions to take place in the future.”

The controversy started when HYPE, ADOR’s parent company, announced Jin’s departure as the CEO and the appointment of Kim Joo Young as her successor. Soon after, the girl group as a whole came live on a YouTube channel and demanded the reinstatement of Jin by 25 September. It was after this broadcast that Jin requested to be appointed again. On 24 September, the girl group with the parents met the current CEO and discussed their demands in a 30-minute meeting.
