Burj Khalifa the largest building situated in Dubai is known for displaying beautiful visuals, especially celebrating occasions like Independence Day and at midnight 14 August Pakistani citizens staying up in the city gathered around the tower.
Celebrating Independence Day on August 14, Pakistani people gathered around Burj Khalifa to witness the visual of their flag on the largest building and celebrate their freedom but unfortunately, they did not display it.
So, sharing this news on social media one lady uploaded a video capturing the situation and saying, “The time is 12:01 am now and Dubai officials informed that Pakistan’s national flag won’t be displayed on Burj Khalifa. This has become our status now. Pakistanis are raising slogans here but Pakistan’s flag won’t be displayed on Burj Khalifa. So sad, a prank has been played on Pakistanis.”

And the Dubai administration woke up when the video went viral on social media and Pakistani users started condemning the act. Later, Burj Khalifa’s official social media account released a video of the Pakistani flag display on the iconic building can be seen and captioned the post,
“#BurjKhalifa lights up to celebrate The Islamic Republic of Pakistan’s Independence Day. Wishing the people of Pakistan a day filled with pride, unity and prosperity as you celebrate the rich heritage and achievements of your great nation. May the future hold even greater success and happiness for all Pakistanis. Happy Independence Day!”
