Over usage of tampons can pose various health risks to women, with the most concerning being Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS). TSS is  very rare but potentially life-threatening condition caused by bacterial toxins, mostly associated with prolonged tampon use. When a tampon is left in for too long, it creates an environment conducive to bacterial growth, increasing the risk of infection.

Moreover, using tampons for extended periods can lead to vaginal irritation or dryness. Some Ladies may experience allergic reactions to the materials or chemicals in tampons, resulting in discomfort or inflammation. The risk of developing vaginal infections can also grow  when tampons are misused.

Another necessary aspect to consider is the absorbency of the tampons used. Choosing for super-absorbent varieties may lead to longer wear times, which can exacerbate the risks mentioned above. It's very important for women to change tampons every 4 to 8 hours, depending on their flow, and to alternate with other menstrual products such as pads or menstrual cups for better health practices.
