Growing up with strict parents often means navigating a world of rules, curfews, & expectations that may seem overwhelming at times. For several people, the experience involves constant monitoring of their actions, whether it's the time they come home, the friends they hang out with, or even the way they speak.

Individuals with strict parents can probably relate to the constant sense of pressure to behave perfectly, as there is little room for mistakes without facing consequences. The anxiety of disappointing them can be ever-present, making simple decisions feel like high-stakes events.

Socializing can also be difficult for those with strict parents. Friendships are often investigated, with parents closely examining who their children spend time with & why.

This can also lead to feelings of isolation or frustration, as many find themselves unable to enjoy the same freedoms that others seem to take for granted. Parents may impose limitations on sleepovers, outings, or late-night activities, causing them to miss out on social experiences that are many times considered rites of passage.

As a result, they also develop a sense of independence and resilience, learning to navigate the world while constantly seeking ways to meet expectations without losing their sense of self. Despite the challenges, many people with strict parents at last come to appreciate the values instilled in them, even if they didn't understand them at that time.
