In a remarkable recognition of their efforts in promoting Spain's cultural richness and scenic beauty through their cinematic ventures, Yash Raj Films (YRF) and Rishabh Chopra have been bestowed with prestigious honours by the government of Spain.
The accolade was officially conferred during the FITUR SCREEN event at IFEMA, Madrid, where the Spain Film Commission declared Rishabh Chopra, Associate Vice President of Production at YRF, as an Honorary Ambassador. This recognition marks a significant milestone, as Mr. Chopra becomes the first individual representing a studio outside of Hollywood to receive this distinguished title.

The ceremony highlighted YRF's exemplary work in showcasing Spain as a premier destination for international audio-visual production, as well as Mr Chopra's instrumental role in this endeavour. The appointment places him alongside an esteemed group of individuals, including former U.S. Ambassador to Spain James Costos, celebrated Spanish actress Aitana Sánchez-Gijón, and internationally renowned personalities such as Emily Blunt, Terry Gilliam, and Veronica Sullivan, Senior Vice President of NBC Universal.
Spain acknowledges the substantial contributions of these personalities, along with YRF, in elevating the visibility and appeal of Spain's audio-visual sector on the global stage. This acknowledgement also underscores the deep cultural relationship between YRF and Spain. Notably, YRF has filmed two songs for the blockbuster film "Pathaan" in Spain, further solidifying the bond between the two entities.
