Cricketer KL Rahul, Actor Suniel Shetty Purchase Land Worth ₹9.85 Cr Near Mumbai

In a notable real estate move, cricketer KL Rahul and his father-in-law, Bollywood veteran Suniel Shetty, have come together to invest in a sizable land parcel near Mumbai. As per property registration documents accessed by Square Yards, the duo has jointly acquired a seven-acre plot located in Owale, Thane West, for a reported sum of ₹9.85 crore. As per the property registration documents, the deal pertains to seven acres of undivided land that forms part of a larger 30-acre and 17-guntha parcel.

According to the documents, the transaction attracted a stamp duty of ₹68.96 lakh along with registration charges of ₹30,000. The deal was officially registered on March 20, 2025. Square Yards noted that Owale is situated in Thane West, along the important Ghodbunder Road, a major route linking Thane to Mumbai. Attempts to contact both Suniel Shetty and KL Rahul for comments were unsuccessful.

In mid-2024, cricketer KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty, daughter of Bollywood star Suniel Shetty, grabbed attention with a high-profile real estate purchase in Mumbai’s Bandra. Property registration documents sourced from IndexTap.com reveal that the couple bought a 3,350 sq ft apartment on the second floor of Sandhu Palace, an 18-storey tower located in the upscale Pali Hill area, for ₹20 crore.

As per property registration records accessed via Square Yards, Suniel Shetty and his son Ahan Shetty acquired a 1,200 sq ft property in Mumbai for ₹8.01 crore in October 2024 through a bank auction. Square Yards stated that the father-son duo secured the property, situated in Mumbai’s Khar West locality, as part of a bank auction deal.
