On Monday, the Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi arrived at Patiala House Court in New Delhi before Metropolitan Magistrate Kapil Gupta in a defamation case filed against Jacqueline Fernandez and other media organizations, who all tried to grab her in this case by spoiling her image and fame with false allegations.
It all started when a conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar allegedly extorted a whopping amount of Rs 200 crores from the wife of a former Fortis promoter and other corruption allegations. So while investigating it has been also unveiled that actress Jacqueline received Rs 7 crore from him in proceeds of crime.
Nora Fatehi said
In the statement, Nora Fatehi said, “They have called me a gold digger and accused me of having a relationship with a con artist Sukesh Chandrasekhar,” by further adding it has caused her financial losses and reputation in the public eye.
She added, “The reason why I have filed this case is because of the ongoing ED case against Sukesh who was accused of conning a sum of ₹200 crore that I have nothing to do with and neither do I know anything.”
Nora further stated that she has been used as a soft target because of being an outsider in the industry and used as a scapegoat to save certain people, also demanded compensation for all the losses that caused to her career.
Fatehi is upset with Jacqueline Fernandez for unnecessarily dragging her into the case by defaming and causing prolonged and unnecessary harassment due to her statement in the media made against Nora when she was listed as a witness in the case.
The statement of another witness will be taken regarding the case by the month of September.
