Based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war, Border was directed by veteran J.P Dutta and starred actors like Sunny Deol, Suneil Shetty, Akshaye Khanna and Jackie Shroff. The war film made a solid profit of Rs 40 crores (approx) against a budget of Rs 10 crores, making it a “All-Time Blockbuster” at the box office.

Though the movie took a “slow” opening at the box office, thanks to the good reviews, fantastic songs, star cast and marketing, the romantic-drama jumped up well at the box office, minting Rs 20 crores (approx) against a budget of Rs 11 crores, turning out to be an “Hit” at the box office.
