This week, Box Office met with a mixed response as Hollywood much awaited Jurassic World Dominion performed decently while the well-received Janhit Mein Jaari surprised with a good growth.
Jurassic World Dominion is rebooted Jurassic World series, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. The much anticipated Jurassic World Dominion already had advance booking opened on 8th May while it released in limited screens which includes only paid previews on 9th June. Industry was expecting a big turn around for Jurassic World Dominion that is the final chapter in the blockbuster franchise.
Unfortunately, the reviews have not been good which also included early critics review who blasted the film left and right. However, these kind of films still open well and mint money as it has universal appeal. The dinosaur flick opened well in paid previews with Rs 3.75 crore while Friday collections were at Rs 11.47 crore while Saturday was at Rs 12.07 crore. There was not much growth on Sunday with Rs 12.50 crore with three days were estimated to be around Rs 35-36 crore at the box office, which is below expectations.
Vinod Bhanushali & Raaj Shaandilyaa brings you a social-comedy-drama Janhit Mein Jaari helmed by debutant director Jai Basantu Singh, headlined by Nushrratt Bharuccha that promises to tickle your funny bones and open your mind to possibilities. The reviews of social drama has been good but the opening has met with a dismal response with just Rs 43 lakhs. There was a very good surprise on Saturday as the collection grew by 55% with Rs 82 lakhs.

As per early trade estimates, the social drama minted in the range of just Rs 90-95 lakhs which is a good sign, bringing the first weekend total to Rs 2.20 crore. The good news is that Janhit Mein Jaari has been made on a total budget of Rs 20 crore and has been released across 1300 screens.
