The second big release of the week is Major which chronicles the life and story of the brave soldier Sandeep Unnikrshnan showed a healthy total of Rs 32.19 crore in all languages in first week. The biopic drama did fall on 2nd Friday with Rs 97 lakhs but bounced with Rs 1.72 crore on Saturday and Rs 2 crore on Sunday, bringing the overall total to Rs 36.88 crore. The budget to be estimated at Rs 30 crore.

It held well on 2nd Friday with Rs 7.95 crore while Saturday was outstanding with Rs 13.5 crore while Sunday was even better with Rs 14 crore, bringing the overall total to Rs 179.40 crore, making it the highest grossing film of 2022.
