Yash starrer KGF Chapter 2 has completed 7 days at the box office. The action drama opened to an excellent response in the morning shows with the occupancy range 75-80% across India in the Hindi version which was the best since Bahubali 2. This can be called as bumper opening which used to happen with films like WAR and Thugs Of Hindostan in pre-pandemic era. The collections just got better as the word of mouth review is solid as per Book My Show towards evening and night shows which helped KGF Chapter 2 collect Rs 53.95 crore from 4400 screen in the Hindi version.
Due to the Good Friday holiday, the earnings held well on the second day with Rs 46.79 crore. On Saturday, the collections went down but was still managed with Rs 42.90 crore, which is simply superb since the action drama has consistently given 40+ crore in all three day. The action drama went up again on Sunday with Rs 50.35 crore, bringing the total domestic collection in 4 days to Rs 193.99 crore in the Hindi version. With this collection, KGF 2 leads the top opening weekend of all time.
RRR 4th Weekend Box Office – Beats The Kashmir Files To Become The Highest Grossing Film Post-Pandemic
The action drama held well on first Monday with Rs 25.57 crore followed by Rs 19.14 crore on Tuesday. As per early trade report, the sequel minted somewhere between Rs 15-16 crore, bringing the 7 days total to Rs 253-255 crore. With this collection, KGF 2 has beaten the lifetime collection of Simmba (Rs 240.31), Krrish 3 (Rs 244.92 crore), URI (Rs 245.36 crore) and The Kashmir Files (Rs 252 crore). The budget is Rs 100 crore which has easily been achieved.
On the other hand, SS Rajamouli epic war drama directed Bahubali 2 minted a staggering Rs 22.75 crore on its 7th day at the box office in the Hindi version, bringing the overall total to Rs 247 crore. The budget of Bahubali 2 was Rs 250 crore.
