Surprisingly, the blunt film opened decently in the morning shows but thanks to the mind blowing (as per Book My Show), collected a solid Rs 97.30 crore in first week
The Kashmir Files 2nd Friday Box Office – Crosses 100 Crore After 8 Days
Most of the films falls on second Friday but The Kashmir Files was exceptional despite the release of Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchhan Paandey as the collection grew with eye-popping Rs 19.15 crore while Saturday was even better with Rs 24.80 crore followed by staggering Rs 26.20 crore on Sunday. There was a drop on Monday with Rs 12.40 crore but held well on Tuesday with Rs 10.25 crore. As per trade report, the political drama held well on 2nd Wednesday with Rs 10.03 crore, bringing a jaw-dropping 13 days total to Rs 200.13 crore from 4000 screens. With this total, The Kashmir Files has crossed the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi (Rs 196 crore) to become the highest grossing film post-pandemic. The political drama has been made on an overall budget of Rs 14 crore and will be crossing the 200 mark today itself.
