Kahaani was directed by Sujoy Ghosh (Jhankaar Beats) and was not a usual Bollywood drama with a happy ending but actually was out-of-box thought with a complex story. From the beginning till the end of the movie, you cannot predict what is going to happen next. The story was superbly told with lots of twist and turns. The screenplay was tight and holds your attention in every frame. Dialogues were well told along with eye-catching cinematography by Setu. The ace cinematographer had portrayed the rich heritage and culture of Kolkata during the Durga puja festival with aplomb. The streets and lanes of Kolkata (including my area where this film was shot) was nicely captured.
