When you are remaking a classic like Agneepath, plenty of comparisons will definitely arise. Was the new Agneepath on par with the classic Amitabh Bachchan starrer which was released in 1990. However, the Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Rishi Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra starrer opened to a massive response on Republic Day, collecting a staggering Rs 120 crore against a budget of Rs 71 crore.

Salaam-E-Ishq -2007
A remake of British film, Love Actually, Salaam-E-Ishq carried mammoth expectations considering Nikhil Advani (he made Kal Ho Na Ho previously), huge budget, popular star cast and very expensive production values. What it lacked was the content.
Though the film opened to solid response but tanked without a trace. Salaam-E-Ishq collected just Rs 23 crore against a budget of Rs 44 crore and failed miserably at the box office.
