The sports biopic drama is the second highest grossing film of Sushant Singh Rajput with Rs 133.09 crore against a budget of Rs 104 crore.

3.  Kedarnath (2018)

The second collaboration of Sushant Singh Rajput and Abhishek Kapoor after the successful Kai Po Che, Kedarnath was panned by critics but audience’s feedback was positive which made the film perform well at the box office collecting Rs 68.57 crore against a budget of Rs 60 crore.

Sushant Singh Rajput had already impressed everyone with his debut film, Kai Po Che, which also gave Shuddh Desi Romance an edge at the ticket window. The highlights of Shuddh Desi Romance was chemistry between Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra along with Rishi Kapoor who will tickle your funny bone with his marvelous acting. The beautiful location of Jaipur makes the film even more eye-catching.

Based on novel “3 mistakes of my life” by Chetan Bhagat , Kai Po Che was the second attempt by Abhishek Kapoor after the brilliant Rock On. With Kai Po Che , Abhishek Kapoor has gone first step ahead in terms of direction and story-telling. Right from the beginning with beautiful background score, Kai Po Che was spellbinding in every scene. Screenplay keeps you busy with crispy editing. Art direction was good while cinematography is eye-grabbing capturing the gorgeous locales of Gujarat. Background and original score by Amit Trivedi was the highlight of the film with all the songs gelling well with the mood of the film.

Starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Rajkummar Rao, Amit Sadh and Amrita Puri in the lead, Kai Po Che was a big “Hit” at the box office, collecting a solid Rs 43.58 crore, against a budget of Rs 30 crore. The film made Sushant Singh Rajput an overnight star.
