There was a slight jump on Christmas day with Rs 16.95 crore but Sunday was decent with Rs 17.60 crore, bringing the first weekend collections to Rs around Rs 47.20 crore from 3741 screens including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. As per early report, the cricket biopic drama dropped further on Monday to around 44%, minting Rs 7.10-7.20 crore and bringing the 4 days total to around Rs 51 crore crore in Hindi and somewhere between Rs 54-54.50 crore in all languages. It will be a tough time for 83 as the budget is close to Rs 200 crore. The restrictions due to rising COVID-19 cases and limited occupancy had hampered its growth.

1st Week Box Office – Spider Man No Way Home And Pushpa Are Unstoppable
Thanks to the spellbinding trailer which brings back all the villains from the previous films right from Green Goblin and Dr Octopus, Spider Man No Way Home, minted a staggering Rs 148.07 crores in the 8-day extended first week followed by another solid Rs 26.85 crores in the Christmas weekend. The super hero drama held well on its second Monday to somewhere between Rs 4-4.10 crore, bringing the 12 days total to an outstanding Rs 178-179 crore. In the International market, the latest Spider Man flick minted $1.05 billion and counting to become the highest grossing film ever since the start of pandemic in just 12 days of release.

Pushpa continues to roar at the box office with an outstanding Rs 26.95 crore in its first week in the Hindi version. The Allu Arjun and Fahad Faasil starrer did well in its second weekend with Rs 10.35 crore while it held well on its first Monday with Rs 1.25 crore, bringing the 12 days total to a solid Rs 38.55 crore. The budget of Pushpa is Rs 180 crore and has been released in around 3000 screens across India.
