Directed by veteran Sooraj Barjatya, Salman Khan starrer Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was a complete family entertainer. This was the fourth time when Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan collaborated after giving blockbusters like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun and Hum Saath Saath Hai. Though the film was full of melodrama and inconsistent story line, audience loved it. The songs also played a major role in the success of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo which ended being a “Hit” at the box office, collecting Rs 210.16 Crore against a budget of Rs 180 crore.

Veer Zaara (2004)

Veer-Zaara tells the love story set across the border between India and Pakistan played well with audience. Directed by Yash Chopra, Veer Zaara was embraced for its beautiful story, good performances by the star cast and soul-ful music by Madan Mohan (re-created especially for this film). Veer Zaara turned out to be “Super-hit” at the box office, minting Rs 41.86 crore against a budget of Rs 23 crore.

Aitraaz (2004)

Naach (2004)

From the director of Rangeela, Satya, Shiva, Company and Bhoot, audience were expecting another brilliant movie from Ram Gopal Varma. However, Naach disappointed big time with poor direction, weak script, bad performances and decent music. The movie flopped badly at the box office, collecting Rs 3.16 crore against a budget of Rs 8.50 crore.
