The comedy drama opened better than superhit films released in 2018 like Sonu Ki Tito Ki Sweety, Raazi and Stree. Due to Dusshera holiday in few parts of India, Badhaai Ho picked up in the evening and night shows and collected Rs 7.35 crores and thanks to a solid word of mouth reviews, Badhaai Ho turned out to “All Time Blockbuster” carrying a budget of Rs 23 crore.

The lovely pair of Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra wer back after the super-hit Ishaqzaade (2012). The trailer of Namaste England was launched with much fan fare. However, the response to the trailer has been lukewarm. Even the songs have not been able to make any impact with the audience which has led to its dismal opening across India. The reviews of Namaste England has not been good and the romantic drama collected only Rs 2 crore on its first day at the box office. The romantic drama ended its run at the ticket window with just Rs 9 crore with a budget of Rs 50 crore.
