Even after a gap of 18 months, the much awaited and the 5th film of Daniel Craig as James Bond and the 25th film in the franchise, No Time To Die was able to open with much a solid debut at the US box office, though it fell short of trade expectations. No Time To Die received favorable reviews from critics and audience alike, bringing in $56 million in its first weekend.  No Time To Die minted a staggering amount overseas with $257.3 million where the film released one week before the US debut.

Venom 2 starring Tom Hardy was released in 2018 and had opened to $80.2 million, collecting to an outstanding $213.5 million at the US domestic box office and $856 million at the world wide box office. The sequel, Venom 2 bowed to a surprise $90.1 million last week which also turned out to be the biggest opening since the COVID-19 pandemic created havoc in the entire world. The super hero action drama dropped by 65% on its second weekend, collecting $32 million and summed up the total to $141.7 million

Venom 2 broke the record of Black Widow which broke all the record post-pandemic with a eye-popping $80 million. Black Widow has collected $183.62 million at the US domestic box office and$378.8 million world wide.
