Directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, the romantic drama was well received by the audience and went on to earn a solid Rs 31.28 crore at just a shoe-string budget of Rs 1.28 crore. Now, the lovely pair is back with the sequel which released yesterday.

Qismat 2 opened well in the morning shows across East Punjab which is on par with the recent blockbuster Chal Mera Putt 2, though few places were affected with heavy rains. The advance booking started a day before the release and the trend showed upwards as the day progressed. The reviews of Qismat 2 has been good till now which has also contributed to the reputation built by the previous success.

As per early estimates, Qismat 2 has opened somewhere between Rs 1-1.2.5 crore on its first day. The collections should be good as it has extended four days weekend to mint money. This film is directed by Jagdeep Sidhu and produced by Ankit Vijan, Navdeep Narula under the banner of Shri Narotam Ji Production in association with Zee Studios.
