Directed by Raj Kanwar, Jeet was released in 1996 and had well-known star cast including Sunny Deol, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu and Amrish Puri. Produced by Sajid Nadiawala, Jeet was welcomed by the audience due to its electrifying performances by the star cast, soulful music, good storyline and well-executed action scenes. All this contributed to the romantic drama being labelled as “Super Hit” at the box office which collected Rs 16.13 crore against a budget of Rs 7.25 crore.

Madras Cafe (2013)
From critical acclaim films like Yahaan and Vicky Donor, Shoojit Sircar explored a new area with Madras Cafe which I guess no other Indian filmmaker had attempted before and gave a heart-wrenching political thriller which will give you a goose bumps. Script was the hero of the film and John Abraham completely surprised with his brilliant portrayal of Vikram Singh. Madras Cafe, released in 2013, turned out to be a sleeper hit, thanks to the positive word-of-mouth reviews. Madras Cafe went on to collect a solid Rs 42.47 crore against a budget of Rs 34 crore.
