The trailer of Bell Bottom was well received with its enthralling cinematography, punching dialogues and star power of Akshay Kumar. The response to the trailer has been fabulous garnering 43 million views in 15 days (it was launched on 3rd August) while the promotion by Pooja Films have been superb. Directed by Ranjit M. Tewari and written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh, Bell Bottom has received solid reviews from the critics while the audience seems satisfied with the action thriller as seen from the imdb.com, carrying 6.8/10from 8.4k users as of now.
On the occasion of Muharram holiday, Bell Bottom managed to bring in some positive news to the film-makers, collecting Rs 2.75 crore. This is still a fair collection considering the 50% occupancy and no show in Maharasthra. The action drama was steady on the second day as it was a normal working with Rs 2.70 crore. There was a slight growth of 10% on Saturday, bringing Rs 3.10 crore but Sunday turned out to be fruitful for Bell Bottom. As per early estimates, the collections showed a jump of around 35- 40% as compared to Saturday, minting somewhere between Rs 4-4.45 crore, bringing the overall four days collections to Rs 12.50-13 crore. The budget of Bell Bottom is around Rs 60 crore (Production Cost – Rs 50 , Promotion – Rs 10 crore)
