When the Australian team lined up for their anthem, both players and spectators were shocked when India’s anthem, instead of Australia’s, began playing for a few seconds. This problem occurred right after the England national anthem had ended. The cameras quickly shifted to the Australian flag, but instead, "Bhagya Vidhaata" started playing before being instantly cut off.

The clip has since gone viral on social media, with fans laughing on X (formerly Twitter), suggesting Pakistan is nostalgic for India. Previously, controversy had also erupted when India’s national flag was missing from the roof of Karachi’s National Stadium.

The PCB later explained that the ICC had instructed that only 4 flags be displayed during match days.
