In the world of pop culture, everything moves quickly, but then there are moments that are so mindful and demure that they leave a lasting impact and 2024 was filled with it. From the rise of the midwestern princess to Tyla holding space for her Sand Outfit at Met Gala, here are top pop culture moments of the year.

20) Raygun

Starting off strong we Rachael Gunn aka Raygun who made pop culture blend with Paris Olympics like never before. Her unique and interesting moves for the break dance competition at Games went viral in an instant. Termed as Kangaroo Dance she is a winner in the eyes of Pop Culture fans.

19)Zendaya and the Met Gala

Zendaya served at the 2024 Met Gala with one look that gave Victorian Woman in Black and the other which was a futuristic post apocalyptic princess. Both her looks gagged netizens because they had what this year's Met did not, fashion!

Nara Smith, a Fashion model really shined the most this year with her cooking videos. Videos in which not only she flaunts her ability to everything from scratch but also do with clothes that scream fashion.

5) Chappell Roan, The Midwestern Princess

Chappell Roan had a grand year with her extravagant music reaching masses and awarding her with fame that she deserves. But that wasn’t the Pop Culture Moment of her that we love, it's everytime she graced the media with her camp looks, whether it be her Statue of liberty look or the mediaeval queen look. Plus the time she shut a paparazzi, sir we lived!!

4) Eras Tour

I would be lying if I say I’m not streaming a glitchy Eras Tour Concert right now as I write this article. From Taylor shouting to Taylor Crying, to Taylor adding a brand new era and finally changing the Reputation bodysuit, the Eras Tour in itself is a Pop Culture Moment, one that is getting bigger as it comes to an end after a successful run over two years with 149 shows. 

3) Kendrick vs Drake

Talking about something big, this year gave us a look into what happens when two musicians get into a feud and decide to use music as their weapon. Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s feud was so big that everyone wanted to know what’s happening! Even the gays were invested! The artist released diss track diss track but the best had to be Kendrick’s Not Like Us.

2) Thank You Beyonce 

It’s a deadly sin to talk about the music industry and not Thank Beyonce for letting you do it. After all, the masses conspired that if an artist didn't thank her during winning an award in which she was nominated, they might just go MIA… But the conspiracy aside, social media was quick to make fun of it. So, if you don’t thank her as soon as you wake up, you might as well be nearing your demise.

At this point it's obvious that the music industry had a grand year in pop culture, but nothing came close to brat summer that made its way to even the dictionaries. Invented by singer Charlie XCX and her album brat, it reinvented how pop music can be, as it experimented with beats, tunes and lyrics like never before. brat was the queen of the 2024 Pop Culture Moment because it deserves it.
