Veteran actress and politician Jaya Prada is considered one of the most influential and iconic actresses highly in the Telugu and Hindi film industries in the late 70s, 80s and early 90s. Also, she has worked in several movies in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi.
Jaya Prada Has Sentenced For Imprisonment
Besides this, Jaya Prada is currently making headlines for not looking at her staff's payments. She owns a theatre in Chennai which got shut down and theatre workers later complained against her for not paying the ESI money which was deducted from their salary amounts. Even after doing this, the workers mentioned that the ESI money was not paid to the Government Insurance Corporation.
However, then The Labour Government Insurance Corporation filed a case at Egmore Magistrate Court in Chennai against the actress Jaya Prada including business partners Ram Kumar and Raja Babu.
As per reports, the veteran star has admitted to the same and promised to clear the long dues while also seeking dismissal of the case. But the court refused her appeal and then sentenced her to imprisonment of 6 months with a Rs 5000 fine.
