It is rare for actors to have a temple of theirs, but Rajinikanth is an exception. Kartik, a retired army officer and a diligent fan of the actor has established Arulmigu Sri Rajini Temple, situated in Thirumangalam, Madurai. On December 11, he established a new idol that resembles his iconic role from the 1989 film Mappillai. However, what took it to a different level was a video of a fan pouring milk over the idol that symbolises purity, blessing and gratitude.

Rajinikanth's career spans over four decades and has had an everlasting impact on Indian cinema. He has starred in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and English, and he recently appeared in TJ Gnanavel's directorial Vettaiyan alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
