In a whirlwind of controversy, allegations have surfaced involving actor Kim Soo Hyun's management company, GOLD MEDALIST, dragging actress Seo Ye Ji into the spotlight and prompting her to sever ties.
The scandal erupted when a former GOLD MEDALIST employee, under the alias @KimSeol24356, accused the management of using Seo Ye Ji as a shield to conceal their own misdeeds.
“Hello, everyone. I wish to remain anonymous.
Four years ago, I worked at GOLD MEDALIST but was fired after leaking important information about actress Seo Ye Ji to Dispatch and OSN reporters. However, the reporters I contacted did not use any of the information I provided because Lee Sa Rang instructed them not to, claiming it would damage the management’s reputation.
What I want to say is that actor Kim Soo Hyun and his cousin Lee Sa Rang had a lot of issues, and actress Seo Ye Ji was used as a shield. Some of the negative claims about her actually came from within the management. GOLD MEDALIST deliberately provided false information about Seo Ye Ji to Dispatch in order to cover up their own wrongdoings. They even paid people to spread lies about her."
The employee alleged that false information about Seo Ye Ji was deliberately spread to media outlets like Dispatch, and that GOLD MEDALIST profited at her expense. Claims of fabricating controversies, including accusations of rudeness and school bullying, were said to originate from within the management itself, orchestrated by Kim Soo Hyun’s cousin, Lee Sa Rang.
“For example, the claim that Seo Ye Ji was rude to staff was fabricated. It was GOLD MEDALIST that paid people to spread such false claims. Also, it was a GOLD MEDALIST employee who created the plot of Seo Ye Ji having committed school violence during her student years, and this was done under the instruction of Lee Sa Rang, who directed the reporters to publish articles about these lies."
Actress Seo Ye Ji trusted Kim Soo Hyun, so she renewed her contract with GOLD MEDALIST. However, in the end, she was used, and the management made enormous profits through her. Note that actor Kim Jung Hyun once stated that he would file a lawsuit against his former management for spreading false information about Seo Ye Ji, but [as her management, GOLD MEDALIST] never disclosed this.
Furthermore, even when her second K-Drama, Eve, aired, the management refused to promote it actively.”
Moreover, the employee hinted at deeper truths tied to the late actress Kim Sae Ron, suggesting pivotal information possibly hidden within her personal diary.
“There is much more to this story. Actress Kim Sae Ron knew some important facts. That is why I want to send this message to Kim Sae Ron’s parents. If you look through her pink-covered diary, you will discover more truth about what happened between Kim Sae Ron and actor Kim Soo Hyun. But I also want to assure them not to worry. In the end, GOLD MEDALIST will unknowingly expose itself.”
In response to the mounting allegations, Seo Ye Ji took to her official fan café to express frustration and unequivocally distance herself from Kim Soo Hyun and GOLD MEDALIST. Her statement, posted shortly after midnight on March 13, 2025 (KST), conveyed her distress at being associated with the unfolding scandal once more. Despite asserting her innocence, Seo Ye Ji admitted responding to a hateful comment, which she later deleted out of exasperation.

I’m only human… So this has been overwhelming, stressful… and I’m so sick and tired of it all. It saddens me and suffocates me… I’ve been holding back and back… but I ended up responding to this comment. I deleted it, though.
