If you have seen the first season of The Night Manager which came this year on February 17, 2023 you would definitely not miss the second one due to the impact created by the first three episodes (Season 1) and how it left us in clueless. Although season 2 will not left you lingering in any thoughts as the makers have conclude the show in this one.

It picks up from where it left but with few different improvements, first three episodes were criticised as running slow but now the next three episodes are really perfectly paced and engaging. Shaan (Aditya Roy Kapur) has a new role and name Abhimanyu Mathur given by the giant businessman Shelly Rungta (Anil Kapoor). Shelly has decided to change Shaan’s life for his own good and makes him partner in business.

On the other hand, Indian RAW Agent Lipika Saikia Rao (Tillotama Shome) struggles a lot to operate the mission due to pressure from higher authorities. Kaveri’s (Shobita Dhulipala) character upgrades in this season, rather than just being Shelly’s mistress, she brings a lot to the table.

There’s not much to complain on story part but the characters could have connected to each other with more ease. You’ll have to wait till you understand exactly what’s happening on the screen. The ending could have been more meliorate. The series with such scale deserve a lot better than that, Sandeep Modi made the climax really easy, it’s not gripping, it’s not something we would think about for longer time after finishing the series.

Anil Kapoor slays as Shelly, he doesn’t let you pick a single loophole in his character, only he can play such a complex character this easily. A character which is evil in nature but we don’t hate him for his deeds, we just can’t, that’s the beauty of Anil Kapoor. Aditya Roy Kapur on the other hand proves he can be the best cast for his role, he is hot, he is dashing & he lives the character.

Especially in the climax when he is back where it all began Aditya Roy Kapur’s charismatic acting skills makes it worth watching. Tillotama Shome impresses more and more with her acting level. She comforts herself while playing Lipika’s character, she is so natural and doesn’t let us down after the staggering performance in the season 1.

Overall, The Thrill Continues in the season 2, first three episodes embarked on the journey of a highly acclaimed series and the show continues with satisfying wins.
