This season started with the same tone as our central couple, Charlie Spring (Joe Locke) and Nick Nelson (Kit Connor), finally expressing their love for each other. But as Charlie starts to spiral down from all his past trauma, his relationship with others begins to strain. The season explores what one can do in such a situation and how others can help. The first half of the season explores it before giving us a sweet conclusion that brings us to tears. While the second half explores the decision Nick needs to make about choosing a university, seeing his beloved partner go through so much pain makes him doubtful.

The season follows its equation, giving equal importance to other couples and their arcs. Everyone is ready to take their relationship to the next level through the experience of intimacy. Sex gets centre stage in the second half, exploring in such a way that it is understandable to all. Even when it comes to handling trauma and mental illness, the season did a great job of explaining what one can do and how one can help themselves and others.
Talking about equal importance, we got a lot of Charlie’s sister, Tori and a budding friendship between Tao and Nick. Even Issac’s Asexuality and Imogen’s queer awakening got the time it deserved.

Like the past two seasons, each episode revolved around a theme like winter, summer, exams, birthdays and more. The iconic animated leaves have more effects, hearts to show love and fireworks for intimacy.

The acting of all the actors was so phenomenal that we were just pulled into the show, laughing and crying with them, something this show has never failed. Overall, this season showed how relationships should be and how one can care for others. The message goes beyond queer people and can apply to everyone, even to those who stand beyond the spectrum of the LGTQIA+ Community.
