Paatal Lok Season 2 ready to premiere on 17th Jan 2025!

The much-awaited 2nd season of the crime drama Paatal Lok is set to premiere on Prime Video on January 17, 2024, the streaming platform has  announced on Monday. 

This release comes nearly 4 years after the first season debuted at the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the year 2020. The inaugural season of Paatal Lok made a huge effect upon its launch, propelling Jaideep Ahlawat into the limelight for his role as Hathi Ram. 

It also helped Ishwak Singh gain a good amount of recognition as a breakout actor. Created and written by Sudip Sharma, the show earned widespread appreciation for its gritty depiction of Delhi’s underworld and its unique social commentary.

What is Paatal Lok about?  

The 1st season, released in 2020, traced the journey of a weary Delhi police officer, Hathi Ram Chaudhary, portrayed by Jaideep Ahlawat. Chaudhary becomes caught up in a high-pressure investigation which involved an attempted murder of a prominent journalist, as he detects a web of corruption, crime, and hidden agendas.

Paatal Lok Season 2 Cast

In this new season, Jaideep Ahlawat will reprise his role as Hathi Ram, with Ishwak Singh and Gul Panag returning to their respective characters.  

The forthcoming season also brings new talent to the cast, with Tillotama Shome, Nagesh Kukunoor, and Jahnu Barua joining the ensemble, which promises to bring fresh dynamics to the intense storyline.
