EXCLUSIVE: "My Character is Not Like EK Tha Tiger" Says Aamir Ali

Lootere, a Disney+ Hotstar series is an action thriller drama that has received positive reviews from the fans. We received an opportunity to have an exclusive interview with Aamir Ali.

The 8 episodes miniseries created by Hansal Mehta, starring Vivek Gomber, Rajat Kapoor, Amruta Khanvilkar and Aamir Ali follows the story of a Ukrainian trading vessel with an Indian crew being attacked by Somali pirates, where a hostage situation occurs and their rescue operation. The series released episodes on the weekly basis and the last episode aired on May 2. The series is an action thriller, so violence is the main theme in the show. 

We had the exclusive opportunity to interview Aamir Ali who is also a part of this series. Aamir Ali’s character is an undercover RAW agent, who is involved in rescuing the hostages. In the interview, while talking about the character, he says, “The character is not like Ek Tha Tiger’s agent, he cannot kill 500 people but he is smart.”

In conversation with Popdiaries, Aamir talks about working with director Hansal Mehta and the overall shooting process. He opens up about his character and working in challenging locations in Africa and reacts on his marriage. We also asked him about his recent meet up with Virat Kohli and he shared his experience of the same.

Lastly, Aamir talked about his upcoming project, ‘Doctors’ and we are very excited for his next project.
