Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at the 16th BRICS Summit, took part in the most awaited bilateral meeting with the Chinese President Xi Jinping to end the international crisis on a global platform. This meeting discussed the response to the crisis that the two countries have been involved in since 2020 border tensions.
4 Four Year Long Wait
The meeting was conducted after India reached a deal with China over the 4-year-long military Standoff in the Himalayas. While the countries conducted many meetings during this time. This is the first between the heads of State and right after a deal is struck to end the border tensions.

Manage Conflict and Sharing Responsibilities.
Chinese President Xi Jinping said that both countries should enhance their communication to have better management differences and that they should be responsible for their actions because it has an impact internationally.
Ancient and Head of Global South
President Xi Jinping went on to say that both India and China are ancient civilizations and that both are developing countries. He emphasized that both countries are the most important in the whole of the Global South and that they both are in a crucial phase of their respective modernization efforts.
Better Communication
President Xi Jinping also agreed upon better communication between the two and that there needs to be more cooperation within them to counter their differences.
They ended their meeting by discussing over the Line of Actual Control (LAC) Deal that has been struck between them and how they will de-escalate the tensions in the Imalayas Valleys.
